Jim and his crews have done all sorts of work in both of my homes, everything from simple papering jobs to major remodeling projects. His work involved plumbing, electrical installations, drywall and ceiling work, and related detail work.
He also supervised the installation of replacement windows and doors in yet another project. Jim has even built custom cabinets and other furniture to my specifications. It would be hard to think of a project that I would not trust to Jims crews.

About UsJim Albright founded Albright Remodeling in 1973. Since then, he, Sherre, and their crews have made old new again, transformed dwellings into more beautiful and functional spaces, and helped hundreds of families get more out of their homes and surroundings.
How We WorkAt Albright Remodeling, we are glad to sit down with a homeowner and discuss a project. We begin with an initial visit where we try to find out what a homeowner wants to accomplish. We review things many homeowners arent aware of such how feasible the location they have selected may be for adding a structure, local codes and their possible impact, changes that may be needed in existing plumbing, heating, and electrical supply, resale value added by the proposed project, and approximate cost.
If, after this initial meeting, the project still has merit in the homeowners eyes, we suggest a meeting with one of our architects to develop preliminary plans. We may feel you need to see some ideas on paper to help you visualize the outcome you have in mind. We also may suggest a visit to one or more completed Albright Remodeling projects similar to yours to help visualize what final results will be.
Sketches approved by the homeowner then become finished plans. Most additions take three to six weeks to complete. Everyone has heard horror stories about the kitchen that took six months to complete or the addition started in the spring and finished in winter when it was supposed to be a four-week job.
Its the policy of Albright Remodeling that, once we start your job, we stay on it every day except Sunday until it is completed. We emphasize neatness, keep you informed with daily progress reports, and of course, have complete insurance coverage. We will gladly supply references for any type of project upon request.

Graduate Master RemodelerThe ultimate symbol of the building professional, the Graduate Master Builder (GMB) designation is for experienced veterans only. Before beginning the GMB designation process, Jim had to have the CGB designation or the CGR designation with five years of building experience, or 10 years of building experience and successful completion of three CGB/CGR courses.
This credential was voluntarily earned; it is not required by the industry or by law.
GMB courses require additional study, with in-depth instruction geared for experienced building professionals. It’s a significant time commitment, but graduates gain a more complete knowledge of all facets of the home building industry, customer service and advanced construction techniques.
Graduate Master BuilderThe ultimate symbol of the building professional, the Graduate Master Builder (GMB) designation is for experienced builders only. To obtain it, James Albright first had to complete other certifications. He also had to successfully complete courses in topics such as communication skills, business planning, financial management, land acquisition management, and providing a quality building experience for customers.
When you hire a GMB, you can expect an experienced builder committed to delivering a quality product. Designations like the GMB are voluntarily earned and not required by law. They provide benchmarks of business achievement consumers can use to measure builders.
Most conscientious builders like Albright Remdeling belong to a local home builders association such as the Rochester Home Builders Association as well as the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). They know the value of the professional development that organizations provide. Quality builders who have elected to earn their designations welcome the peer contact and learning opportunities afforded by trade shows and educational programs.
Certified Graduate RemodelerIn 2008, James Albright achieved the Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) designation as offered through NAHB.
